本會為依法設立、非以營利為目的之公益性社團法人（114年度法登社字第36號），宗旨係結合臺灣學界智力與民間活力，關切攸關臺灣生存發展之傳統及非傳統安全議題，促進臺灣安全與繁榮。

本學會英文名為Secure Taiwan Associate Corporation，係在強調我們是一群有志在促進臺灣安全與繁榮的「夥伴」(associate)，而不只單純是一個「團體」(association)。

STA Corporation is a registered nonprofit public organization (114年度法登社字第36號). Its mission is to unite the intellectual resources of Taiwan’s academic community with the energy of civil society, focusing on security issues that are crucial to Taiwan’s survival and development.

The English name, Secure Taiwan “Associate,” rather than the typical term “association,” highlights that we are a group of partners, rather than just being an organization.

針對與臺灣生存發展相關之國防、外交、兩岸等傳統安全議題，以及海洋、國土、產業、金融、能源、網路、社會等非傳統安全議題，匯集學者專家研析交流，提出風險評估與政策建議，並依相關法令規定推動及執行：

1. 推廣與臺灣傳統和非傳統安全相關之研究，並將研究成果提供有關單位參考。
2. 舉辦學術研討會議及議題性座談會。
3. 出版研究報告及專書。
4. 接受委託從事專案研究等有關本會宗旨之事項。

We focus on both traditional security issues vital to Taiwan’s survival and development—such as national defense, diplomacy, and cross-Strait relations—and non-traditional security challenges, including maritime affairs, territorial integrity, industrial resilience, finance, energy, cybersecurity, and social stability.
